Sea otters wrap themselves in kelp when sleeping and resting to keep from drifting out to sea. Its a sort of symbiotic relationship in that while the kelp helps the otters in these circumstances, its the sea otters who help the kelp forests to thrive and flourish by keeping sea urchins in check (they are the only known predators for them)
